Biography

Andrew Naumann is the Strategy and Operations Advisor at the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (NCDMPH). Drew brings previous experience as a division director at the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems, a public health administrator, the chief of a hospital based medevac and critical care transport program, and a WMD response specialist. He also brings over 15 years of experience in the reserve component of the US Air Force and has performed assignments focusing on special operations medicine and countering WMD. Drew is a graduate of Joint Special Operations University’s Special Operations Planning Course, Defense Nuclear Weapons School’s Joint Countering WMD Planning Course, Air University’s Contingency Wartime Planning Course, and the US Department of Homeland Security’s National Planners Course. He is an adjunct instructor of biosecurity and biodefense at Louisiana State University’s National Center for Biomedical Research and Training. Drew maintains certifications as a Nationally Registered Paramedic and Flight Paramedic, and maintains an active clinical practice in EMS.
