The National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (NCDMPH) serves as the Nation's academic center of excellence for education, training, and educational research in disaster medicine and public health preparedness. The NCDMPH was created in 2008 in response to a Presidential mandate and is hosted by the Department of Defense at the Federal health sciences university--the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
